Sums up my experience at the new Social Thai Ottawa on Bank Street.
Where can I begin, from the welcoming gold pattern decor to the embroidered bathroom walls, this new gem on Bank street takes Thai culture and cuisine up a notch.
The array and variety of starters and cocktails gives you a fun flair to what authentic Thai cuisine is.
We started with their spring rolls, which are a given delicious start, to their mango salad which was fun, tasty and healthy. It wasn’t over bearing, it was the perfect mix of cashews, cabbage and mango to taste.
We continued dinner on to their Kao Pad fried rice. A medley of seafood, mixed with a secret sauce, fried to perfection, served on a carefully crafted hand painted gold plate.
It was the perfect prestige introduction to authentic and delicious Thai food.
I enjoyed my food but most importantly I enjoyed the setting. It’s different and a good different, a place where great conversations can be had on a first date, or where your girls night out outfit matches perfectly.
Highly recommended and enjoyed.
